Rumbo is a journey planning app that help commuters who use both formal and informal public transport to travel in emerging cities like Mexico City, Lima and Bangkok.

Impact

I worked on several design challenges, new features and product improvements to Rumbo increasing retention and growth.

In Rumbo I was leading design on a product area which included collaborating with a cross-functional squad and being responsible for the overall experience from initial discovery to the final high quality design details. Our squad owned features such as the journey planning, connecting the transport data, and general app performance.

Process

Working as the main designer in a cross-functional product squad.

Working closely with PMs, research, engineers and data to identify user pain points and needs, define requirements, iterate quickly and ensure goal-focused outcomes.

Structuring and facilitating workshops to enable collaboration.

Creating low-fidelity and quick to test wireframes, as well as high-fidelity prototypes and scalable designs.

Working on the implementation and maintenance of a scalable Design System.
